Identification and Background ¶
Released in the fall of 2005, the Sony Ericsson w600i Walkman camera phone was a competitive entry into the growing field of music-playing multimedia phones.
The w600i incorporates a swivel joint, turning to reveal the keypad and allowing easier access to the microphone. In addition to its music and camera capabilities, the w600i features two gaming-specific buttons on the front face for a more ergonomic gameplay experience.
The w600i is identifiable by its locking-swivel joint and Walkman logo, and can be distinguished from similar models by removing the back cover and battery and looking at the reference card.
