Background and Identification
This phone is a bar-type (or a "candy bar") cell phone. When it was released, it was popular because it was smaller and lighter than many other cell phones.
The Nokia 8260 is a variant of the 8290 and 8210 models and was released to the market in 1999.
It differs from the other 8200 models in that it is larger and heavier. Its dimensions are 4.1" by 1.75" by .7". This model is limited to the colors pepper red, electric blue, and carbon gray.
Unlike its previous models, the 8260 does not support voice dialing or an infrared port.
