Background
The Nikon D610 was Nikon’s full frame D-SLR camera released in October of 2013. The Nikon D610 has a 24.3 megapixel fullframe 35.9 x 24 mm CMOS sensor to provide excellent sharpness and high image resolution. The D610 features a new shutter mechanism to boost the frame rate from 5.5 fps on the D600 to a slightly faster 6 fps. Along with a faster frame rate, the D610 offers a quiet continuous mode that minimizes internal camera noise for photographing timid subjects and nature scenes. The camera offers Nikon standard full PASM exposure, scene, and high dynamic range modes and an improved auto white balance control system. For memory, the camera contains two SD/SDHC/SDXC card slots to allow users to double storage capacity.
The D610 was released to address the issues users faced with the nearly identical D600 model.
Identification
This camera model is identified by the D610 label found on the upper righthand corner of the front face of the camera as well as the manufacturing label on the bottom of the camera. The camera also features slight red coloring on the upper lefthand corner of the front face and a golden “FX” in the lower righthand corner of the front.
