Logitech Dexxa Repair

Dexxa International was a brand that provided computer peripherals in the late 1980s through mid 1990s, primarily for IBM machines. They manufactured joysticks, gamepads, mice, keyboards and steering wheels. The MAXStick was one of several released by Dexxa, and was billed as "the affordable joystick built for flying." As the slogan implies, the joystick was designed for flight simulations, air combat, and action games.

The MAXStick came equipped with a six-foot cord, pressure sensitive trigger button, turbo-fire switch, trim controls for calibration, and an additional weapon-control button.

Dexxa International was purchased by Storm Technologies in 1997; Storm Technologies then declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1998. Little information exists online about either company.

Though the chain of ownership is unclear, Dexxa is currently registered as a Brazilian subsidiary of Logitech, called "Dexxa Accessorios De Informatica Do Brasil Ltda."

The Dexxa MAXStick can be identified by its matte black plastic housing and dark purple accents, as well as its now-ancient 15-pin connector. The serial number (AE54801709) and part number (963000-00) are located on the bottom of the joystick housing between the suction cups.
