Background
The HP Compaq 515, model number CPQ515UQL, was released in 2009 and was designed as a business laptop. The screen is 14.1 inches and the dimensions of the device are 13.23 x 9.21 x 1.26 in (336.0 x 233.9 x 32.0 mm). The device is capable of 8 GB maximum SDRAM (4 GB SODIMM in slots 1 and 2) and up to 250 GB of hard drive storage. The battery should last up to four hours. Two major issues with this device are overheating and the screen turning black.

The HP Compaq 515 is closely related to the Compaq 610, so make sure you know for sure what device you're working with. The major difference between the Compaq 515 and the Compaq 610 is the fact that the 610 has a slightly larger screen, measuring 15.6 inches.
