In late 2015, Epson released the “VS” line of projectors, designed to deliver essential business features for small- to medium-sized conference rooms at an affordable price, including the 240, 340, and 345 models. The Epson VS240 is a portable, high color, high brightness projector; the compact design and business standards of connectivity provide a balance of portability, power, and performance. The Epson VS240 features a 3LCD design greatly improving image quality which when combined with the High Color Brightness make true-to-life color images.

To differentiate the VS240 from its counterparts, Epson placed the name on top of the projector, between the control buttons and the input ports on the back.
