The AmazonBasics B0050BPWBQ is an 8-sheet Strip-Cut Paper, CD/DVD, and Credit-Card Shredder released in August of 2011. The color of the head unit and the basket is black. The AmazonBasics logo is located in the top left corner of the head unit. It provides users with 1/4" wide shred width. There is a black switch with On, Off, and Auto settings. It requires a 15 minute cool down time between shreds as opposed to competitors which require twice that. It has a bin capacity of 3.2 gallons and a noise level of 70 decibels.

It competes well against other similar devices such as the 6-Sheet Cross-Cut Shredder and the 8-Sheet Micro-Cut Shredder.
