Hi @mkd93209

The hose fitting on the outer tub assembly is part of the water level system.

The hose connected to the fitting leads up to the water level pressure switch which is in the control panel.

You can remove the hose for cleaning (or replace the hose) but the fitting on the wall of the outer tub that the hose connects shouldn't be removed as it is part of the outer tub assembly. If you try to remove it and it breaks there is no separate replacement part available for it as it is part of the outer tub assembly.

You could try putting a cleaning agent in through where the hose connects to, then allow it time to do its work and then try to force water through from the hose side back into the tub or you may have to remove the inner tub to get better access to the other side of the fitting on the outer tub and rinse it that way.

As the water rises/lowers in the tub during filling and draining in the wash/rinse/drain cycles it also rises/lowers in the hose. This increases/decreases the air pressure in the hose, which is exerted on the switch at the other end of the hose. The switch is designed to operate at various pressures which coincide with the level of the water in the tub so that it signals the control board as to whether water needs to be added, is enough (for the selected level) or if it has been fully drained etc.

Here's a link that has a video that shows how to remove the hose from both ends i.e. switch and tub, that may help.
