How do I fix this
What could cause it to lock up and beep slowly and how can I fix it?

I would remove the saw blade to see if it is jammed up. With it removed is the motor able to run or just sit beeping.

Have you checked that the battery is fully charged or tried a different, known working, compatible battery in the saw?
