Camera loses time and date setting when changing batteries
Why when changing batteries does the camera show lost time and date settings

@petergreasby your camera uses a button cell battery that is soldered to your main power board assembly. That is the battery that power the CMOS which is responsible for keeping the time and date etc, in memory. The problem will be to get to it since you will have to partially disassemble your camera. For that you can always start with the these guides Fujifilm FinePix S1 and then check places like YT for more videos etc. The s1 Pro might also assembles very similar as the standard S1.
