Does anyone know how to identify the tactile switch on the BDM-010 Playstation 5 Dual Sense Game controller PCB? Does this apply on BDM-010/020/030 as well?
I had made the mistake of ordering a tactile switch that didn't exactly match the OEM part on the PCB. It was larger.

Thanks for the pictures! It’s easier to have the exact right switch for the dualsense mothetboard you need! So far I know, the tactile switches are the same for all the dualsense motherboards. BUT, they are hard to find.
The most easy way is to buy or get yourself a broken motherboard and get the switch from there.
Another option is to try a smaller switch, but the problem is that they do vary in size.

I've been doing some researching and online shopping and found some that are similar but not identical. I'm fine with a new one that is equivalent to the specs of the oem so I can solder it on. I'm unsure on how to desolder such a delicate part from a junk motherboard anyway. I am comfortable with soldering. If this helps?
Do you know if the original part is 3.7 mm x 3.7 mm? Is it anywhere near these attribute values:
Body size (L × W) 3.7 mm × 3.7 mm
Height 0.35 mm (ultra low-profile)
Pin pitch 3.5 mm (lead-to-lead spacing)
Actuation force 1.57 N (160 gf)
Yes, you need to de-solder it in the corners most of the time. It's hard to desolder it, but you will get there. A lot of patience is needed too.
Not sure what the size is of the original switch, I'm sorry. Best thing to do is to measure it (if possible). But it will be hard as the new universals one, can differ in size by just milimeters..
