How to replace cable through headband

Hello there, I have the skull candy crusher wireless model S6CRW and dog chewed on the cable that goes from side to side running through the headband and I can't find instructions on any platform that shows this repair or provides information on the cable for replacement. Or if I could substitute the cable with an old charger/USB cable. I'd rather not try to splice those tiny wires and just replace the whole thing. Can you help?
