Calibrating Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor

I replaced the accelerator pedal and sensor on my 2013 ILX due to issues with limp mode, rough idling, rough gear changes, engine check light on, etc. It didn't solve the problem. However, it may be that I need to recalibrate. I tried all the methods I could find on the net but nothing works. Do I need to take it to the dealer to recalibrate. They are asking $500. I was hoping there is another way. I read that it can be done with an OBDII scanner. But I do not have one. Any ideas?

Hi @profbijan

Since you haven't got a ODDII scanner, if the vehicle is driveable, take it to one of the major retail chain auto parts suppliers e.g. AutoZone, Pepboys, O'briens etc and ask for a free OBDII code check. Most of them will do this for free.

Check if any P2122. P2123, P2126→P2128 & P2138 are logged

Here's an image showing what each of the codes mean. Hopefully this may be of some help.

Hi @profbijan

Could only find information on P2101 code. (see below) and not on any of the others

My local mechanic says that the scanner is showing DTCs P2101 and P2179. He cleaned the throttle body and replaced the APP pedal assemble which has the sensor built in but no joy. Tried calibrating the APP using procedures on the net but didn't solve the issue. Acura DTC P2010 suggests that the PCM needs to be updated with the latest software or the PCM is faulty. Acura says there are no doftware updates. Nothing seems to work.
