Hi. Has anyone found a source of parts for the trackpad 2? I accidentally sliced the flex cable for the lightning port and would like a replacement. I haven't found anything on Ali, eBay or Amazon under searches like "A1535 port", etc.
Mine has a serial number but I don't recognise the initial character which according to A.I. is not a unicode character. It looks like a 7 combined with an F. The rest of the serial number is "...821-1988-A"

Apple doesn’t offer parts for this product as they see it as a throwaway 😡
At best you might find a broken one that you can salvage the part from. As this is not a common failure issue the parts houses are not likely to stock it.

Thanks for the insights Dan. I'll keep a look out for a really damaged and cheap trackpad to scavenge from.
