LDS malfunction when turned on

My Ecovacs DEEBOT OZMO 920 2-in-1 has been experiencing a LDS malfunction over the last couple of days. The associated application notifies me of the LDS malfunction but provides no specifics. So far, I have only been able to understand that the LDS sensor helps the device map the area and the LDS malfunction prohibits it from doing so and the cleaning process cannot start.
I need help understanding the specifics of the error, procedures to inspect the sensor and determine the parts which need to be replaced.
