How to clean charging

If there is dirt stuck in a usb port, what I have personally found to work is to get a toothpick (preferably plastic) or similar (Something that is sturdy enough and won't break apart or leave more fluff inside) and carefully scoop it out.

I usually use a disposable plastic toothpick/floss and stick the toothpick end in to pull dirt out.

For safety, make sure it is not powered at all. If it is a device like a phone, then power it off just in case. And if the port has any visible pins, be extra careful not to damage them.

I am keeping my answer non-device-specific as it should work for any type of USB port and device. (I know original question is about a pixel phone and I have done this solution many times with my phones that have USB C ports to remove dirt, paper etc.)
