Sony Bravia KD-75X9000F (X900F, X90F) went off then wont turn on

hi guys have read a few similar messages on here and other areas so seem Sony has constant power issues.

I tried the usual resets and discharge tests but cannot get anything out of it.

I seen a similar issue on here so tested the rear power card output for 12v and 3.3v but no voltage on CN6401,

Am I right thinking I can just use one of the screws labelled GP2 near CN6601 Plug as the negative probe and cannot find any other labelled (-)?

I presume the power primary boared is not transforming the 12v etc as it has 240 on the primary side of board. Anything im missing?

@jym64419 in theory you can use any of the metal screws that attach to the metal of the panel as ground.

If you do not have the 3.3V standby voltage your power supply has issues. Check the fuses to ensure it gets power to all the circuits. Then you need to check the mosfets and diodes.

yeah thought the screws would be grounds as labelled GP.

only has the one fuse on the 240 side that I could see and it has 240 going through it fine.

Also no 12v on the same plug that has the 3.3v.

nothing visible on the board expected to find burnt resistor or parts

@jym64419 Those boards ado have issues with the voltage controllers and mosfets. What board number is your power board. Let's see if we can find any schematics etc. to narrow it down. Do you have full power on the bridge rectifier?

U mean the number in the pics P469AM? pics have a few part numbers.

Only tested the input and DC outputs as was unsure of individual component testing and could only see 1 fuse to check and can find other boards which is prob cheaper then labor on a repair.

@jym64419 yes, that's it. Sorry, I must have missed the whole AP-P469AM. Let's see what we can find out,. Yes, you could be right with getting a replacement board. I would just not like it that you buy one and then it's something else (my prime suspect is the power board but i'd like to be sure). I don't want you to spend your money on a hunch :-)

Sony, Samsung and others have had issues with their large screen TV's that were all related to shorted LCD panels.
