Samsung Galaxy tab 4 10.1 Stuck at the splash screen Need Help

Hi

I am working on my sisters Samsung galaxy tab 4 10.1 and it stops loading at the Samsung splash screen and just stays there. It won't even power off when I hold the power button down for 5 seconds, it just reboots and stops at the splash screen again. I can get to the hard reset screen by pressing and holding the power button, volume up button, and home button, and then select the power off option. I do plan on doing a factory reset but I first need to extract all of the important files my sister needs for work and other files and documents.

I have watched lots of videos on how to extract files from a tablet with the same problem I'm dealing with but there is one step you have to do first and that is turn on the debug mode, unfortunately none of the videos explain how to do that if you can not get past the splash screen.

So is there any way to extract the file and folders my sister needs or are the files lost forever and I should do a factory reset. I am hoping there is someway to extract the files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

This is as far as it gets.

Hi

Unfortunately that also requires me to be able to turn on debug mode.

@art18818 that is correct.

Enabling USB Debugging on an Android Device

On the device, go to Settings > About <device>.

Tap the Build number seven times to make Settings > Developer options available.

Then enable the USB Debugging option.

@art18818 aaaahhhhh. Now I see what you mean. Try to start your tablet in Safe Mode. Let's see if this issue is caused by a bad third party App or Malware etc. To get into "Safe Mode" please do the following.

1. Turn off the tablet.

2. Next press and hold "Power" until you see the Samsung logo on the screen, then release the power button.

3. "Quickly" press "Volume Down" and hold it for few seconds until you see the message "Safe mode: ON" or similar.

4. If you wanted disable Safe Mode, simply repeat the steps above, and you should see "Safe Mode: OFF" rather than on.

Let us know if you get anywhere with this.
