@imacpowpcintm it does have audio and everything works, just no video? What have you checked? What exact model number is your TV?

@oldturkey03 @oldturkey03 My tv is a Panasonic TX-P55VT60, to be honest I already did some repairs that have been helpful because the tv didn’t even turn on before but now the screen won’t show anything and it only displays some very dim garbage.

@imacpowpcintm is that the one we worked on before? What repairs did you end up doing? Tell us more about this "only displays some very dim garbage."

@oldturkey03 oh yes! Sorry, I’ve recognized u only now. Anyways after that time I have fixed the sc board and bought new daughter boards for it and now it’s sort of working, but then if I connect the data cable of the ss board the board itself tries to illuminate/turn on the panel but with no success and with a 7 blink error indicating the fault in the ss board, now without the ss board the tv shows some very dim dots of red green and blue and they are just a few, and it also shows some kind of corrupted image on the top of the screen but all very dim. Can perhaps be that the tv panel is completely blown?

@imacpowpcintm let's see what I can dig up. I don't like the issue with the dim dots etc.

@imacpowpcintm it should be the SS board which sets the brightness of the picture on your panel. A failed SS board usually has a picture that is so dark that you only see speckles/blobs of dots that move around. this could be what you described here "very dim dots of red green and blue and they are just a few" Those blobs etc. are actually the brightest part of the picture on the panel and that is why they look the way you do. If you still have your TV apart, lets see the SS board and wires and lets's see if we can determine what is going on with it.

So I have modified the question with some pictures, before it used to at least show something, how the screen is completely black with no picture even with a light shining on it, the tv can turn on because i have disconnected the flat cable of the data that goes to the logic board, before the ss board used to turn on for 4 seconds and then shut itself off life if something was shorted, unfortunately now the tiny controller chip of the board blew for some reasons even if the voltages were 100% fine. Sadly I don't have my tv apart rn. Also I wonder if the plasma tv panel is done, but usually these Panasonic plasma tv panels do last a very long time, because I have one that is 20 yrs and its 100%fine!

@imacpowpcintm I'd put my money on SS board first, then the panel. It is possible (anything always is) but the board is more likely. Your heatsinks seem to either get hot or have some thermal paste on it. IF so, your IC's are probably cooking :-) I'd be looking for an inexpensive replacement.

@oldturkey03 ok, thanks!

I will see what ss board I can find online, hopefully the ss1 daughter board is fine also because it doesn’t have much if not anything on it, I also checked for any weird shorts on the screws and they seems 100% fine, hope that the blown boards didn’t damage the plasma panel but I find that a bit unlikely since the tv wasn’t doing weird stuff before breaking or smell baked/brunt.

@oldturkey03 I have replaced my ss board and everything works, except it has a vertical small black line, could be the connectors or something worse?

完成的

@imacpowpcintm yes it could be a connector or cable issue. Something just does not make good contact with that particular area.

Glad you got it working (yes, even with a small black line, it's a success).
