Hi @jessicasmi50395

Normally you can't do this as you would have to ensure that the screen was compatible with the motherboard that it is connected to, i.e. you would need to know the operating specifications for the screen, the wiring pinout for the connecting cable between the screen and the motherboard and then find out the the same for the motherboard's video output circuit. Basically, it has to be electrically compatible as well as physically compatible. Not an easy thing to do.

it would be simpler to simply buy a compatible replacement screen for the tablet.

I couldn't find a screen replacement guide for your exact model, but here's is a video for a Dell Venue 10 Pro (5055) that may help. FYI the screen for this model is not compatible with your model, even though they're both 10.1" screens.

To find a supplier of the screen for your model search online for Dell VN6C4. Here is one that I found just to give you an idea of the cost of the replacement screen.

If changing the screen yourself, seems too daunting, contact a reputable, professional mobile phone or laptop repair service and ask for a quote.

If your screen is still usable to a degree i.e. good enough to navigate through, you could always try connecting an external monitor (TV?) to the tablet's micro HDMI port and use it with the external display. Sort of defeats the purpose of a tablet though, being tied to a TV ;-)
