A few days ago a black line appeared that cut off the left part of my screen, today when I turned it on it was flickering between the Image and the black bar. After about 5 minutes a heard a click and then this colored bi-frost looking glitch appeared. What could it be? A few days ago a black line appeared that cut off the left part of my screen, today when I turned it on it was flickering between the Image and the black bar. @memeking628 not sure why it would click. This is usually caused by failed Source Drivers or bad ribbon cables. You will have to disassemble your TV and take a look at the small board that connect via some thin, fragile ribbon cables to the panel. It is possible that either one of those has come loose, or that there is a failed/burned driver on the cable. We will need to know your exact TV model to see if there is any information specific to your TV. Otherwise we'll depend on you to show us what all of this looks like on your TV. So, unplug it, remove the back cover. See if you can find where the ribbon attach to the screen. Now, and here comes the fun part, you will have to turn your TV back on. Then GENTLY apply pressure on the connection where the ribbon cable should be the very first ribbon located right where the anomaly is located) meets the screen. let us know if it changes that line.

@memeking628 never mind those ribbon cables and all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Since yours is a Plasma TV, it functions way different. Errors like that on a Plasma are usually related teh the Y-sustain board. In the case of your TV, you will have to long, skinny boards. those are consider teh C-boards (no idea where Panasonic comes up wit those names:-) Check the one that corresponds to the side that gives you trouble. see if you can identify any burned, missing or otherwise damaged component. You also want to go ahead and remove the ribbon cables from most of the boards. One at a time, check for corrosion, tears etc on it. Then reseat your cables. I believe your TV also has cooling fans. Make sure that those are working and that they are clean. Improper ventilation leads to more heat and can be a killer to the boards.

Here is an image of your C1 board It is the Lower right front view. I would suspect that there are issues with the ribbon on CB4. Check for corrosion etc. Take a look at it (if you can) and if you have a multimeter, check to see if you have the 5VDC on the Test Point. For that the TV has to be one etc. so make sure you do not touch anything with your fingers. Plasma TV's pack a punch. Meter to VDC, Black to ground and Red on the test point.

@memeking628 I know this is a PITA but if you can provide a close up of this area

that would help a lot. It's difficult to zoom in since it loses detail. If you can't, you can't and I respect it and we'll just have to work around it. Picture #1 or picture #2 corresponds to the side the anomaly is on? That way we have our left and right organized

@memeking628 follow the illustration I've attached, and it will show on the board. Better yet, let's see those boards and we can help out further.

@oldturkey03 found the problem, you can see a burnt chip in the image i posted

@memeking628 yes. A burned COF on the ribbon cable. Those are the ribbon cables I was referring too in my answer. Those are the driver IC’s for that part of the screen. Some can be repaired and others spell the death of the screen. There are a few YT videos that address those. Check those to see if there are any options left.
