I have a 1981 Yamaha G-1 and need help finding the secondary clutch?

My cart runs fine and takes off but seems to be running like it’s stuck in low gear. I’m told it’s the secondary clutch? My main clutch I’ve inspected and it seems to be working just fine. I’ve replaced the belt already, greased things so I’m a former ASE tech for automotive and from what I see it seems the secondary clutch is suspect? I don’t know for sure but that’s why I’m asking for more info and the main problem is finding the replacement parts for the fix? Please help with this as the cart is in great shape and summer is coming and I need it fixed as it’s the family’s fun? Thank you

@vlfmmsyamsneyim okay so here is what your primary "clutch" looks like

The only thing secondary would be the secondary sheave.

See if this Yamaha G1 Repair Manual will be of help to you.

As for parts, that most likely will all depend on what you will need.

From what I’ve been told it’s wore out and the springs are bad? It’s either stuck or just not working as it should that’s why when we take off the engine reeves up higher then it used to and winds way out to high. So the RPMS are to high. I can tell by the sound it makes now from what it was. So after I’ve replaced what I can I believe it is the secondary clutch that is bad? Like I said I don’t know for sure but am desperately trying to find a solution to the problem ASAP.

@vlfmmsyamsneyim I agree with the worn out springs on the secondary sheave. I think it's time to take a look at those. Make sure they are not cracked anywhere as well.
