i have water damaged charging port cable connector.(the connector that connects the charging port to motherboard) how to remove rust from it.also it is in half working condition like charging is there but no back button lighting.and the fingerprint is also the same it was working but stopped because of rust.

@parthsarthi if it is rusty at minimum that would mean the nickel will be off and it will no longer make good contact etc. Combining this with the other issues you are having I suggest that you replace the daughter board (which has the connector on it) with something like this. You did not tell us what you have done about the rest of the water damage. It is important that you deal with all of that as well.

only the charging port is rusty because the water only entered through sim socket so rest of all is in good and working condition.but the battery is not holding charge so i was asking that i should replace the board or replace battery . as the charging port connector where it connect to motherboard is also rusty but working that why i was asking to deal with motherboard rust.
@parthsarthi based on this "charging port is rusty and "the battery is not holding charge" you want to do both. Replace the board and battery.
can i use isopropel alcohol to give it clean and try?
@parthsarthi of course you can. Remember so, that with all the issues it'll not just be that the port corroded. There will be corrosion on the board where the connector sits and possibly on/under the components of the board.
Trying to clean it is not going to hurt it:-)
