TV wont boot past logo, half the screen is black when it does

So my 65 inch Hisense Roku TV randomly went black and has started doing this weird thing where the TV will boot up and be on, but the screen will be black and flash the hisense logo for about 2 seconds and then goes back to being black. This repeats forever. While the logo is showing half the screen is very dark/almost black as well. Has anyone else had this issue and is there a fix for it?

We think its the power cable that plugs into the TV that's gone bad, but it could also not be the case. I wanna know my options/any possible solutions before I drop 9+ bucks on a new cable.

Can you upload a video of the problem, along with taking the back off the TV and uploading pictures of the circuit boards in your TV? 在已经存在的问题里加入图片

MarbleQ it is NOT the cable. Does your TV still allow you to get to any channel? This sounds like a failed/failing backlight array... See if you can captured some of those behavior either on pictures or a short video. You can post either with your QUESTION. You will have to Edit your QUestion and use the guide provided in the prior comment.

MarbleQ see how the left side stays black? That sure looks like a bad backlight. It could be from the power board not supplying the proper voltages. Since this is a Hisense which is known to use subpar led strips I am leaning toward failed backlight strips. All can be fixed if you are up to it. Backlight strips are a PITA to change but definitely doable. You will have to take the back cover off snd do some voltage measurements. You need some basic hand tools like screwdrivers and a multimeter. Even an inexpensive one will work for this. Up to it?

Update (10/17/2022)

@Marble Q for now all you need is a couple of screwdrivers. Flat-tip and Philips should do. Next you need a inexpensive multimeter. Analog or digital, doesn't matter. If you leave somewhere in the USA with access to a Walmart or Target get yourself a kit similar to this and a meter like that will work. HArbor Freight, Tractor Supply everybody will have this.

Once you have all of this, will have to take the back off. Unplug your set and there should be a few screws that hold it on. Remove those. Some backs are easier than others, so when you get there and have trouble with anything just add some pictures of the situation you are stuck with, You need to edit your QUESTION to add those. Use this guide 在已经存在的问题里加入图片 for that. Helps us to help you.

Now this is a pretty big panel and they are actually pretty flimsy. you do not want to bend it etc. they do not like it. Make sure you have another set of hands available.

In your responses if you add the @<whatevername>, we actually can see and get notified that someone is directing something at us. For example this @andrewsawesome will let "Andrew" know that someone has a response/question/comment for him :-)
