tv has a black screen
My Hisense tv has a black screen also! So what do you do to fix this problem?

dottievbaker you are not giving us a lot to go by. You need to let us know if your power LED comes on and stays on or if it blinks etc. After that, it'll help if you can tell us if you have sound or if your TV is with no sound and no image. Next try some generic things. This is making the assumption that your power LED is on.
Verify that you have no image on all inputs. If it remains dark, unplug every peripheral device (DVD, Game Console, Cable Box etc.)from your TV and then unplug the TV. Push the power button for about one minute, then plug one peripheral back into the video input source and plug your TV back it. Try and turn it on and see if that reset your TV.
If it remains dark, in a darkened room, use a flashlight and angle it against the screen with the TV on. See if you can make out shadows or shapes (like the Hisense splash screen or your initial menu). If you do, then it is your backlight that has failed (common issue with Hisense are failed backlight LED strips). If you do not see anything, unplug your set and remove the back. Then visually check the boards for any obvious damage like domed or leaking capacitors. Check all the wiring and unplug the wires and plug them back in to make sure they are properly seated. Could you share some info on what happened? Did it simply not turn on one day? Did it fade out? What have you tried?
The more information you provide, the easier it is to help.
The first thing I would do is shine a powerful flashlight (when the TV is on, but has a black screen), in a dark room. That is the first step in checking if it's the backlight that is gone. It's the backlight, if you can see a faint image when shining directly on the screen with the flashlight.
