Why bluetooth not showing

Hi,

What is the status of the Bluetooth adapter as shown in Device Manager?

To get to Device Manager in Win 10 press the Win key + the x key (both together) and then click on the Device Manager link.

When in Device Manager, scroll down the the Bluetooth adapter entry and right click on the entry > Properties > General tab > Device Status box. Does it show "this device is working properly"?

If there is a red cross next to the entry, right click on the entry and click on enable and then check if the BT works OK.

If there is a yellow exclamation mark next to the entry, right click on the entry and click on Update Drivers and follow the prompts. You need to be online for this to work.

If there is no Bluetooth category shown in Device Manager, restart the laptop and get into BIOS i.e. press F2 after startup, and then when in BIOS go to Security > I/O Port Access > Bluetooth and make sure that it is enabled.

If the Bluetooth adapter is enabled in BIOS and is shown working in Device Manager and it still doesn't work, it could be a faulty Bluetooth card. Here's the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop. Go to p.85 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove/ replace the Bluetooth card from the laptop.
