Where is the EGR VALVE(Pictures,Please) located in 1998 golf gti vr6
What is the exact location of the EGR VALVE and Does Anyone have photos of its exact location.Is it also difficult to remove it?

Lee, it is a lot easier if you look for the "combi Valve" since the GTI service manual calls it that. Anyhow, check on the attached images. Image 1 shows you the location (Combi-valve is part number 21), image 2 comes from this site and shows how to work on it. The combi-valve (EGR) is costly, but available at places like this. The Golf Diesel, according to the Bentley manual, has an EGR valve. Hope this helps, good luck.
