I forgot to latch the battery door before using it.

I forgot to latch the battery door before using. The camera turns on, but I can’t see anything on the screen. Is this fixable for a reasonable price or should I just buy a new camera?

nickandkerribles how/where did you use it that an unlatched battery door would cause the LCD not to work? What happened?
