Scratch on body - repairable?
I noticed yesterday I somehow have made a deepish scratch on the lid of my new M1 MacBook Pro 16”…and kind of sick about it. No clue how I did this either. Are there any repair kits that can fix this?

Like what James said it’s not really repairable but you can make it look better
By cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol and maby applying a little metal polish made for MacBooks but it will basically just sugar coat it
And if your really brave you could try and tapp the mark out from the inside of the housing however with smaller marks like yours it doesn’t always work!
It’s all worth a shot though!

Yes, metal polish might help a little but be super careful not to get it on the keyboard or screen.
Unfortunately there would be no way to knock the dent out since the glass and display are fused to the shell. You’d have to get a full top replacement which would be quite expensive

The reason why I said knock the dent out is because I thought it was on the palm rest

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about this :(
I’d just wear it as a battle scar, otherwise you could get a skin or a case to cover it, otherwise just see it as part of your MacBook. After the first scratch, everything else comes a lot easier!
