Why is it doing this

The phone has recently been acting up. It rings half way then stops then again and stops and it doesn’t allow me to answer it. It goes Ri- stops Ri- stops and doesn’t fo it again. What do I do?

Hi,

What is the model number of the phone?

Is there someone there if you answer it after the ring has stopped or do you get the dialing tone?

Can you call out OK using the phone?
