Remote Control Volume Occasionally Not Responding

I have been noticing that my tv remote is unable to control the volume on the tv. Let’s say that when it was working, the volume was at 30. When it is not working, I am only able to go up to 31, and holding volume keeps the number flickering at 31. Going down to 29 does the same thing. I have found that restarting the television temporarily fixes it, although after the most recent occurance I fully unplugged it and it is working for now, but I am worried it will happen again.

I have done nothing to damage either the tv or remote either so I don’t understand what could be causing this to happen, or even whether it is an issue with the tv or remote.
