Water Damage, Cameras + FaceID not working

The rice did do something though. Made me feel better about my poor phone.

So question now that the damage is done. Is this something I can fix by swapping parts or is it just done? I’m typing this on the phone itself right now. Getting camera and Face ID back would be nice. Otherwise I can live with it as is until the next gen is released.

You can replace the front camera but face Id is gone unless you want to spend money. Their are 2 parts that paired to the motherboard and if those parts are damaged or changed from the original parts face Id won't work. The proximity sensor lead with the earpiece speaker and the front camera are those two parts. You can find someone who can possibly replace the chip that controls it. It's probably not worth it. The problem with water damaged phones is they can stop working at anytime and most shops won't even touch them except for data recovery.
