Battery won't charge after disassembly

Hi,

so I disassembled my macbook to fix the part controlling the keyboard lighting. After assembly, it turned on fine and everything worked fine. Today, I plugged in the charger and it won’t charge. The little light on the charger head does not turn on. I tried a different outlet, resetting the SMC, and in system information it says that the battery’s condition is normal (it also said that the battery was not charging). I also tried cleaning the port but to no avail. Lastly, I opened it again and double checked if everything was properly connected.
