My laptop screen brightness is 100%. but when it is on, no light?

Fekadu Wubetu  “when i turn flash light on the screen the desktop icons are slightly visible” sounds like a failed backlight. First check your computer with an external monitor and see if that displays correctly. If so it is your backlight that has failed. This could be because of the array inside the LCD screen or it could be because of the backlight driver circuitry on your motherboard. Once disassembled check the components around the LCD connector and make sure that you find a number or other identifier on the motherboard that might enable us to find a schematic.
