Go to AutoZone or a parts store where they can check for codes in the computer for free. It sounds like you have an electronic throttle that is not working, please let us know soon.

If throttle is not working would the rpm go up when pedal is pressed?

@bamahoney420 no. The throttle controls the fuel. If your rpms are climbing then the throttle would appear to be working.
