I’ve oiled all moving parts and when I turn the wheel it turns a little, then it won’t turn without a lot of muscle. There are three places where it locks up.
I called the local sewing machine/vacuum sales and repairs. He said it probably needs grease in the gears, took it in, runs like new for only $59.95. I'm ready for winter!

This is a Sears Kenmore Model 1603 Zig-Zag sewing machine. I don't know how old it is, but it would be a good one if I can get it fixed.
