Changing screen and lcd

Hi, I broke my ipad pro 12.9” screen model a1670. If I buy the new one that offers fullset, will my touch id still works? Because if I have to do some soldering, I don't have the abilty.. Someone says that the ipad pro middle flexible locaten on the screen is crutial so we have to include the old one to the new one.

In order to retain touch ID functionality, you need to salvage original home button from broken screen and transfer to the new one.

Buy a replacement screen with daughterboard pre-installed (‘the middle flex’ circled in picture) to save yourself the hassle of soldering, from any reputable vendors like iFixit and MobileSentrix.

Does the picture I posted is the correct display for the ipad rpo 12.9 a1670? Or is it for the a1671?

@Nic Yaakov Durant, Sr A1670, A1671, and A1821 are three model numbers for iPad Pro 12.9" 2nd Gen, they use the same screen assembly. I can't really tell which one you have just by looking at that picture.

Hello sammyz I currently have an iPad Pro 2nd gen 12.9 A1671. I sent about two emails regarding this issue and they just kept telling me that they didn’t know. And last night I got another email saying that the part I had picked out that cost about 399$ (Item code IF323-030-1)is the one that includes the daughter board. However, he is not sure if additional soldering will be required. I want to fix it really bad because I use it to take notes at UNI. But the little cracks get in the way. My Apple Pencil rubber tip is like gone now. Hope you can get Yours fixed Nic D. And if you do LET ME KNOW PLEASE!!!
