Heat is your friend to remove anything glued/taped on (except for heat resistant tape like kapton tape). We haven't gotten a 4th gen so far, have worked on a 3rd gen recently and there's a proximity sensor flex cable at the top, carefully remove and transfer that flex cable to the new display. I would imagine same procedure is required on 4th gen.
The screen issue is not software/iOS related as you have done the troubleshooting to rule that out, you will need to open it up and check if LCD cable is dislodged.
There's a small clicker/nipple that actuates the clicking, a rubber gasket wraps around home button, and a home button bracket to ensure it fastens to the glass. You need to open up the iPad to assess cause of the problem, could be either of the three.
Use your phone or magnifying glass to check for signs of damage inside the port (bent pins, broken part, etc.), if you think it looks ok, remove the screen and check if screws are tight/loose (there are 4 philips screws securing lighting port to the case if I’m not mistaken), your last resort is to replace the port which requires soldering.
Either you bought the wrong screen or it’s a defective, reach out to the company. In the future buy replacement parts from reputable vendors like iFixit, mobilesentrix, injured gadgets, etc. Stay away from ecommerce platforms teeemed with crappy knock-offs.
WATCH OUT for the digitizer/LCD cables on the bottom left vertical edge, there are two flex cables that connect the digitizer to the LCD screen - make sure you don’t push the prying tool in too far or else you will rip the cables.
Shortage of replacement screens is the only reason I can think of, given the current supply chain snag and chip shortage.
Wow, they actually put an OLED panel to illuminate lightsaber, I wonder how much a bottle costs in Singapore.
Fake batteries.
Nokia 9 has five rear cameras plus one front camera for a total of six :O
I think Air 3 is nothing but a budget replica of the 10.5” Pro.

No the LCD is not interchangeable with the iPad 5th gen.
Well the digitizer is available now, but it’s way too expensive at this point
I don’t think Air 1/iPad 5 digitizer will work on iPad 6, as the connector’s orientation is different.
