Maytag MDB7749SAM0 stuck on wash cycle

Really hoping someone can help with this. We have a Maytag MDB7749SAM0 dishwasher. When we turn on the normal wash cycle it starts fine, runs the cycle for maybe 10 minutes and then pauses for maybe 3-5 seconds and then goes back to the wash cycle for an additional minute or two, pauses, starts again repeat repeat. It will do this indefinitely until we hit cancel. We can run at least the rinse only and the light wash cycles without a problem.

When the issue started it was leaking also so we replaced the door latch which fixed the leak. About 2 years ago we had a similar issue where the control panel was the problem so we went ahead and replaced that as well. But it’s still getting stuck on that cycle. Before replacing anymore parts I’m hoping someone can help us for sure figure out what the heck is wrong with this thing!!
