Ink cartridge problems continue

Why does my printer continue to read out “One or more cartridges appear to be damaged.  Remove them and replace with new cartridges”.  I have replaced with two new cartridges and this message continues.  Please help!

I got message that Yellow cartridge need to be replaced. So I did that. Then I got a message that Cyan and Magenta cartridges failed or are damaged. I really don't need to use the color cartridges anyway. Just black is enough. Is there a work-around?

I don't have an answer, but I am looking for one.
