How I can set-up 2 screens to my MacBook Pro

Sorry, I keep asking questions. But Mr Mayer is the guru. Without him I would have spent a fortune. And that fortune would not have solved the problem. Strongly recommend Mr Mayer.

Can you advise how I can set-up 2 screens to my MacBook Pro. The first being the display (it only has 3 USB ports, no HDMI) and a monitor with VGA and HDMI ports. Note: The MacBook does not have a HDMI port. Any advice.

Links to parts to purchase would be perfect.

Thanks again. You have saved me from spending a fortune.

Hi, thanks in advance for your help. I have a MacBook Pro A1286. Linked to a Tbolt Display A1316 (only USB connections) and an Asus monitor with HDMI and VGA connection. Hope that you can help. Thanks again.

the older macbook pros require a mini displayport adapter, for the one with vga, you will need this: https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MB572... and for the other one, the usb ports are for data, not video, it might not even be possible to use two screens on your model, and that other one would require a mini displayport cable, which should have been included

Thank you for your help. I already have the adapter. It works fine when my Mac. It also works fine with the Mac display cable. Is there an adapter that holds both so that I can share screens, an adapter for two Mini Display Ports for the MacBook. Maybe the model is too old to support this. Thanks
