Hi, I have a 3rd generation ipod touch 32 gb. It got thrown and the digitizer and the glass cracked. It will connect to my laptop and sync, but the screen is always just black with the backlight on. Do I need to replace the LCD and Digitizer, or is the problem deeper than that?

Brooke Swala, since you have to disassemble it anyway, I would make sure that all the cables are connected and that none of the cables is tore. If all that looks okay and since your screen is definitely cracked, I would go ahead and repair that, and reevaluate from there. I would think that it will repair your iPod. Good Luck.
