Dryer overheating without using
I have a GE dryer that gets HOT just by plugging it in... I don't even have to run it.. any ideas why?

Your machine has an electrical short and is very dangerous right now. The hazard is an electrical shock and/or fire. I would unplug it immediately but first throw the breaker on it before moving. Then immediately get into it so you can tell where the heat is emanating from. I would use an IR gun if you have one.
