error code 2003 8gb iPod

Error 2003
Connection problem; change USB cable and check USB port.
Do not use a hub. if everything else fails you may have to restore your iPod. Remember to back your stuff up since this will erase it all.
Turn off your iPod, hold the home button, and plug it into iTunes while still holding the home button until the iTunes symbol appears with a cable under it. iTunes should say "iPod found in restore mode". Restore your iPod to either a backup of that iPod if there is one, or set up a new iPod.
