I have a Sony EX400 which has flickering and some horizontal lines run across ... the technicians tell me that I have to change the panel. Wondering if this is something else. And sometime the screen goes blank( black). Attaching a picture of the problem

Saju Thomas that looks like failed gate drivers on your panel. Post some images of all of our boards with our question. That way we can see what you see. The gate drivers are part of your LCD panel....

Perhaps letting it warm up a bit before watching something will help, but I'm not sure.

Downvotes aren’t personal, they’re reflective of the quality of answer. Your answer should contain all the information a user needs to solve a problem or at least the steps towards a fix, not just a guess.

Technical Difficulties rest assured I am not targeting you one bit. I am just not in agreement with your answers and find that most of them are at best comments, at worst they are guesses. If you do not know the answer and you do have to guess, then your answer is not helpful. If you have to add that "but I'm not sure" then you are better off not to answer the question.
You can always regain your rep points by a. making your answer useful b. making it a comment or c. deleting it.
BTW kid I am of the generation that made the term dude popular so it is okay if you address me as old dude, but not as dude.
