Why does my computer stop later when it boots?

When I start the computer it runs normal but when some time pass it stops and doesn't move the mouse when I touch it.

Try disabling any sleep modes within Windows, your computer may be trying to sleep but cannot for some reason leaving it in this broken state.

What OS is installed in the laptop?

Does the laptop boot all the way to the Windows desktop or does it freeze before it gets there?
