I have a series 70 Kenmore washer top loaded. Works fine does everything a washer should do except the water won't stop running only the hot water cuts off cold keeps running even when not in use have to shut off the cold water valve to stop it.

@apache11885 this sounds like a failed water inlet valve. If you can give us the complete model number of your washer, we can probably find the part as well as a guide for it. Should be something like this
