Not charging at all
Hi..
I have a visual land prestige elite 8 and for some reason it wont charge anymore. I will turn on and then power off automatically. It has been dropped several times so I know that can contributed. But I need help.

Im currently having the same problem.For my case, it will charge but the port is loose and the usb has to be bent at an angle towards the screen for it to actually connect. After some research I found this is a very common issue for these tablets.
Try using an old micro usb you dont care for and bend it slightly, then place the tablet on a flat surface of the edge of a table with the screen facing down and plug it in (making sure the charger is bending down towards the screen). Kind of an odd fix but it works for me, although i cannot gaurantee this will work for you because your situation may be different, but it is definately worth a try. As for being dropped, being that these are cheap tablets, they are very durable, so having dropped them probably wouldnt have much to do with it (although I may be wrong).

Mine is about 2 years old and it won’t charge-it’s about 30 percent. It just started all of a sudden. I bought a new cord and a new charger and it worked once-with the cord kinked a certain way which I can’t remember. Any thoughts?

The problem is most likely in the charging port, you both will have to replace it. If the charging port isn't the problem, however, the problem could be the battery.

My visual does the same thing. It'll come on but won't charge. Is it costly to get the charging port fixed ?
Usually charging ports aren’t very expensive, although I can’t seem to find the part for it. You might be better off buying a new tablet.
Look in the charging port if everything ok.
