I replaced the Battery on a 3rd Gen iPod, and now it won't change. I am trying to change it with a firewire. When i hold down the menu and play/pause button, the screen comes on shows the apple logo then the low battery waring. The apple logo is not on long enough to force the iPod in disk mod to charge it. Any suggestions would be great!

@robt619 double check your work and double check the battery. It may be a bad battery. You can try and charge the battery on an external charger with something like around 3.6V and then try again. Make sure that your cable is good and the dock connector is clean, has no bend or broken contacts. Firewire is the sensible way to charge this model iPod.
