Problem with right analog stick

my right analog stick looked stuck in bottom right direction.While playing fifa first touch would always be to bottom right without me actually touching any buttons.

So i looked and guide to replace right analog stick.But since i have not yet ordered replacement part, i thought of just unplugging the cable as i was fine with it not working at all.But now after unplugging cable it is taking ball to top right.

So now i have a vita which has right analog stick unplugged but still while playing fifa first touch is to top right.

Now need to figure out exactly which part needs to be replaced to fix this.

i followed till Step 8 and than directly step 18 of PlayStation Vita Right Joystick Replacement to unplug right stick.

Ajay B you had it right from the beginning. Replace the analog stick first, then re-evaluate. It is a glorified potentiometer and most likely just failed. At this time is does not matter where the "first touch" leads to. Use this complete guide PlayStation Vita Right Joystick Replacement for the repair

i don't have replacement part yet,So just want to play without right analog stick.So after unplugging right stick,it still acts the same. Shouldn't it just disable first touch (it is using right stick) with right stick unplugged ?
